My orthodontist pulled 4 healthy teeth to straighten my teeth. That has caused me 20 years of pure misery. I cannot speak well anymore, my mouth looks like crap all deformed and sucked in, I drool unintentionally, bite my tongue really bad when eating, I bite my lips really bad while eating too, we are talking blood and all, my teeth hurt all the time. My jaw hurts all the time and doesn't work right, my self confidence is gone. I curse at the mirror everyday. The idiot is dead now, so I can't do anything about it

I'm 59 y.o. and am wearing Invisalign. My teeth look straighter, but my bite is wayyyyy off, and my crooked jaw is now more crooked. I've not gotten as far as the retainer, because the orthodontist wants to do another 12 weeks to see if she can get my teeth aligned better using more Invisalign. I just learned about mewing and want to do it, but don't think I should do it with the braces on. The braces are likely working in the other direction. It's a big dilemma because especially in my bottom teeth, there were a couple of them that were twisted way off, and now they are straight. What to do! I have heard that mewing can also work well for older adults, even over 60 y.o. So, I have hope!

Wonderful of you putting this video together and up. Unfortunately orthodontics destroyed my face, as I did not know any of this prior. Only once my face had changed I started looking into possible causes and found what it can do to appearance. One of the worst decisions of my life to get orthodontics done.

I recommend gum it sticks up after spreading it and it's not dangerous if u swallow it

our faces are weak because our food lacks nutrience not because its soft. if you look at some tribes, they ate a lot of raw fish (which is soft) and their faces were still well developed just more narrow

i know it’s 4 years since i posted this but how are u so sure u could permanently remove ur retainers and mew correctly without a risk of relapsing, and u did that for 8 months before going back to the orthodontist. i had my braces removed about 2-3 years ago and i’m having retainers right now, i’m afraid if i don’t keep them on i might relapse

You are lucky I am 37, I had braces that closed my face and caused my chin undeveloped. Mewing can’t work anymore. I have the same stuff below my eyes as you. I see my cheekbones are not at their right places.
